Yarrow has been beloved since the Upper Paleolithic period-- a Neandethal man found in Iraq dated more than fifty thousand years old was found with traces of yarrow embedded in his teeth. It's since been used by cultures across the globe for countless remedies. It's often known for its use to treat cold and flu due to its strong diaphoretic properties which help the body reduce fever and elimate pathogens. Yarrow is also touted as a "go-to" first aid herb as it is known to be incredible effective in stopping bleeding.
